A Morning Photography Session with Maggie & Cooper in Oak Creek

Real Moments. Real Connection. Real Good Light.

There’s something about Oak Creek really anytime of the day, maybe it’s the way the light moves through the trees, or how time seems to slow just enough to notice all the little details: baby toes, mermaid moments, the quiet strength of new motherhood.

I had the joy of photographing Maggie and her son Cooper for a family session that was calm, connected, and full of the kinds of in-between moments I love to document. While technically a Cooper’s first big photoshoot, what made this session feel special wasn’t the age or the timeline, it was the connection. Maggie’s ease, the way Cooper reached for her, the little smiles between the movement.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Maggie in a boudoir setting, her pregnancy, and now motherhood and I am so honored to have been a part of so many pivotal moments of her becoming.

We kept things simple. No props, no posed perfection. Just two humans being with each other, in a place that means something.

These are the kinds of family portrait sessions I live for: natural light, outdoor spaces, and real emotion. Whether you’re a new parent or your kids are running wild through the trees, my goal is always the same: photos that feel like you and your family.

If you're hoping to document your family in a way that feels honest, relaxed, and rooted in place, I'd love to hear from you. Click here to explore my portrait options.
