Geoff joined me at the Downstream Studio in downtown Flagstaff for a professional headshot session. We kept things simple with a clean white background, a couple of outfit changes, and plenty of room for natural expressions.
One of the things I love about studio headshots is how much variety we can create without overcomplicating things. For Geoff's session, we worked through a mix of standing and seated portraits, experimenting with different angles, relaxed poses, and expressions. A simple change of clothing gave us another look while keeping the entire gallery cohesive.
The goal wasn't to make Geoff look like someone else. It was to create professional photographs that felt approachable, confident, and genuinely like him.
I think there's a misconception that professional headshots have to be stiff or overly formal. Some of my favorite portraits come from the moments between poses, when someone relaxes, laughs, or forgets about the camera for a second.
