Lifestyle Photography & Personal Branding in Northern Arizona
Some of my favorite photography projects are the ones where I get to spend an afternoon outside with people who have a really good story to tell.
I recently worked with Linda and Lisa, the women behind the Forever Changed Podcast, for an outdoor branding photography session in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Their podcast is built around conversations about the moments that change our lives. The unexpected experiences, difficult chapters, personal discoveries, and little turning points that leave us seeing the world differently.
With that in mind, we wanted their photographs to feel like an extension of the conversations they're having. Natural, approachable, and rooted in genuine human connection.
A Branding Session in the Mountains of Flagstaff
We spent the afternoon wandering through the ponderosa pines and aspen groves, finding little pockets of light and letting the landscape become part of the story.
Our session included individual portraits of Linda and Lisa, photographs of them together, and plenty of candid moments in between. We photographed them sitting on fallen logs in the forest, walking through the trees, sharing tea in a sunny meadow, and taking in the mountain views as the afternoon light softened.
Rather than creating a collection of traditional business portraits, I wanted to give them photographs that communicated the feeling behind their podcast.
The conversations, the friendship, the curiosity, and the simple act of sitting down and listening to another person.
And Northern Arizona made a pretty wonderful backdrop for all of it.
Creative Branding Photography That Tells a Story
One of the things I love most about personal branding photography is that it doesn't have to look like business photography.
For a project like Forever Changed, a simple portrait is only one piece of the puzzle. The photographs of Linda and Lisa interacting, laughing, and spending time together tell just as much of the story.
We created a collection of individual headshots, environmental portraits, lifestyle imagery, and storytelling photographs that can be used across their podcast website, social media, episode announcements, and other promotional materials.
It's the kind of photography I especially enjoy creating for podcasts, small businesses, artists, and other creative projects. Photographs that introduce the people behind the work while giving them something useful for sharing it with the world.
